What a wonderful day of drone coding, flying and tree planting in celebration of Matariki. There was healthy competition and lots of laughter as each team applied the knowledge gained from coding to navigate their drones around the natives.

Rangatahi were excited to plant trees in commemoration of Matariki. The teachers and students were on point with this māhi promoting a strong focus on being kaitiaki. A mixture of 50 native trees were planted. There was truly a strong sense of togetherness and valuing each other in the atmosphere as each student helped their mate with the task at hand.

The PTC workshop and our tree-sponsored initiative were featured on their school’s facebook site as the teachers and students created their own montage of our time together.
