Dannevirke students received the opportunity to learn about the use of drones for mapping environmental initiatives. Partnering with Noel Leeming students applied a range of mathematical concepts as they programmed their drone to fly at various angles, distances and speed. This enthusiastic group were truly sparking each other as they aimed to produce a successful flight path.

The afternoon was spent with local farmer Mr Barrow who wanted to engage in a restoration project of the wetlands on his farm. Sourcing a range of native trees, he carefully drove the group to the site, explaining the rationale and benefits of this project to our young minds.
