Solar workshop Flaxmere
PTC’s renewable energy workshop is designed to raise awareness about the power of the sun and the value of NZ choosing more renewable sources of energy. On 6 Mar, 2024, Hawke’s Bay Today, reported on a major project by the Hawkes Bay airport to build two major solar farms. Despite some delays, ‘the airport says it is still committed to the bold plans. The project includes plans to install 52,000 solar panels on airport land west of the runway with the aim of helping it become carbon-neutral’.
These rangatahi lost no time as they followed instructions and used some kiwi ingenuity to create their build. The sun shone for these rangatahi as arm in arm, they marched out with their uniquely crafted solar car.
