Despite current covid-19 conditions, PTC Trust was able to run its third eco-product development workshop in collaboration with Mrs Kirkland from the Herb Farm. Utilising zoom technology, our young mums had an exciting experience learning about greenwashing and understanding the effect of chemically derived ingredients of synthetic beauty products on the environment.

Lynn shared her extensive expertise, clarifying how substances such as parabens, phenols etc found in facial creams, lip balms and shampoos are not the most healthy for delicate baby’s skins. The session not only unveiled some “hidden nasties” in everyday products, but left the girls empowered to make better choices to protect their skin and that of their babies.

The girls were delighted to create a very natural cream produced by mixing a range of organically grown plants from the Herb Farm.
