Eco products @TPU Stratford
PTC continues to empower young teen mums about the need to become more organically aware for a more sustainable future. Partnering with Herb Farm founder Mrs Kirkland, PTC was able to deliver another informative hands- on workshop to this group of energetic and keen young mums.
As Mrs Kirkland shared about the use of parabens and phenoxyethanol in cosmetics, the girls were full of questions about the various products they utilise. Dr Stoiber in the EWG article “What Are Parabens, and Why Don’t They Belong in Cosmetics?” reports that ‘the U.N. Environment Programme has identified parabens as a group, including propyl- and butylparaben, as endocrine-disrupting chemicals or potential endocrine-disrupting chemicals (U.N. Environment 2017). The Danish Centre on Endocrine Disruptors has also identified butyl- and isobutylparaben as endocrine disruptors (Danish Centre on Endocrine Disrupters 2018)’.
PTC in collaboration with the Herb Farm delivered another enjoyable, hands-on learning experience that empowers young teen mums to make healthier choices for themselves and their baby for years to come.
